Fun for all ages at the library

The Weyburn Public Library has several events coming up this summer for people of all ages. On Tuesday, July 27 the Reel Read book club is showing the movie "Field of Dreams.

The Weyburn Public Library has several events coming up this summer for people of all ages. On Tuesday, July 27 the Reel Read book club is showing the movie "Field of Dreams." The club will then meet August 3 to discuss the differences between the book, "Shoeless Joe," and the movie version.The Children's Knitting Club is having its final summer meeting on July 29. Newcomers are welcome.On August 4, Service Canada will be presenting a discussion about essential information for seniors. Topics include Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, being a care-giver, savings programs, and more. This program will run at 2 p.m.Pharmasave will be hosting a discussion about diabetes on August 10 at 7p.m. This presentation focuses on health, prevention and the ramifications of living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.Other events in August include a two-part yoga session for seniors, a science fiction book club, an "Armchair Travel" to India and author workshops and readings.More information can be obtained at the library's new website at http://weyburnpubliclibrary.weebly.com.
