EPS makes an arrest for assault after incident at the Comp.

Police also charged one person with six counts of fraud and one count of misuse of a credit card.

Police had a busy day on Thursday.

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service has announced an arrest following an incident at the Estevan Comprehensive School.

Members were alerted to an assault that took place at the school on Feb. 15. After gathering information, a 17-year-old female was arrested for assaulting a 17-year-old student. The youth who was charged will appear in court on April 3.

After a lengthy investigation into complaints of a male who deposited fraudulent cheques, a 46-year-old man was charged on Feb. 16 with six counts of fraud. The man was also charged in a subsequent investigation with misuse of a debit card that did not belong to him. He was released from custody on conditions and will appear in court on April 3.

Police were called to a residence in the east-central area for an assault. When members arrived, one of the people involved was standing outside and was extremely agitated. An officer spoke to a female who was inside the residence and she stated she had been assaulted. The male who was outside was advised that he was under arrest for assault. He resisted arrest and was taken into custody. The 27-year-old man was to be released in front of a justice of the peace and will answer to the charges of assault, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer on April 3.

Police received a request from an individual to remove an unwanted guest from a residence. Officers attended and the unwanted guest ended up leaving on their own.

Police attended to a disturbance call in the city core. The complainant called indicating there was an unwanted guest that was arguing and refusing to leave. Police attended and were told the individual left prior to their arrival.

Police were alerted to a male in a vehicle at a local business. He seemed disorientated and the door was partially open. The male was arrested for impaired operation by drug and the vehicle was towed. The 29-year-old man will answer to the charge on April 3.
