Employment Milestone

Bill Wyatt has been a dedicated friend and employee to Carlyle Motor Products since the very beginning of the company鈥檚 life.

It all began back in the 1980s, when Wyatt was working at the International Harvester dealership in Carlyle. The dealership eventually closed and Wyatt was planning on relocating to Estevan to work at a business that was also owned by Boundary Motors, but Garnett Goud had come to him, and was able to convince him to work for him at his company that he was planning on opening.

Well, the business was Carlyle Motor Products and it opened on May 12, 1986. Wyatt began his career in the parts department.

Wyatt worked in parts for over 10 loyal years before he switched positions in 1997 to be the controller which he has done ever since. His position entails managing the books and finances of the company.

Wyatt was born and bred on a small farm south of Kisbey and he came to work in Carlyle in 1978. Over the years he had spent his time in between Carlyle, Kisbey and Arcola as he went to school in Arcola and that is where the majority of his friends lived.

In 2004, Wyatt had settled for the final time when he purchased his house in Carlyle.

It is not a common thing within our modern society to see such dedication and loyalty to one's place of work as is found in Wyatt; it is truly something to be honoured. Wyatt likely wouldn鈥檛 admit it himself, but there is something to be learned in this example of integrity at its finest, and there is much to be learned and celebrated about him. Having worked at a company for 35 years is not an accomplishment that many are able to say they have, it simply isn鈥檛 something that happens all too often any more.

When it does, it is something that is to be celebrated not only by the individual, but also by their community. After all, one鈥檚 work within and for a community affects the community as a whole.

鈥淚 don鈥檛 know if I should be talking about myself but I鈥檓 a pretty humble person,鈥 admits Bill

Wyatt.

Bill, allow yourself to be proud and to acknowledge that this is a more than notable milestone that deserves recognition. There is no shame in having pride when it is well earned.

Congratulations on 35 years!
