The City of Estevan is in the process of transitioning to a new utility billing notification system. The new system allows residents to log in to an online portal and have access to their utility bills.

The carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at SaskPower鈥檚 Boundary Dam Power Station captured 48,150 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) in April, according to information released by SaskPower on Wednesday.

Several bylaws related to taxation were brought forward at Monday night鈥檚 meeting of Estevan city council. Council gave first reading to the four documents. The main one was the rate of taxation bylaw, which affects property taxes.

It appears that Estevan City Hall will remain closed to public access for a little while longer.

An Estevan student is one of four young people from across the province to receive a Saskatchewan Agriculture scholarship this year. Marci LeBlanc earned a scholarship for $2,000.
