Over the weekend of July 29, Weyburn's River Park campground was re-opened to the public for the first time in 44 days. River Park was one of the campgrounds that was hit hardest by the floods in southeastern Saskatchewan this year.

A Weyburn son will be returning to the city today for the purpose of supporting the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation, which has the ominous task of fundraising for a new acute-care hospital in Weyburn.
