Estevan police called to two-vehicle collision

Police investigating incidents that occurred this week.

ESTEVAN - The EPS received a report of a two-vehicle collision in north Estevan on April 15. Members attended and assisted the drivers with exchanging information. The EPS said no injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

A citizen reported a young child was walking alone in the southwest area. Members attended, were able to locate the child’s residence and reunite him with his family.

A second report of a young child walking alone in north-central Estevan was received. Members attended and were able to determine contact information for the parents, who were reunited with the child.

A resident reported a suspicious vehicle in southeast Estevan. Members contacted the registered owner and determined they were having problems with the vehicle and were in the process of having it towed.

EPS members kept the peace at several locations April 16 while a property was inspected by the landlord and a derelict trailer was removed from the property.

A report of a vehicle failing to stop for pedestrians at a crosswalk is being investigated.

Two females reportedly shoplifted at a local business. The investigation is ongoing.

Several suspicious individuals were reported and investigated during the day.  In each case, contact was made with the subjects and nothing criminal was identified.

A complaint of an individual uttering threats is being investigated.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance after a 911 call was received. The caller did not respond to dispatch staff. EPS members were able to locate the individuals, mediate the situation and provide referral services through the Police and Crisis Team.
