ESTEVAN — On Aug. 7, the Estevan Police Service received a report of sexual offences against a minor related to a previous investigation stemming from June that resulted in charges against a 26-year-old man.
The subsequent investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed at his residence and numerous additional charges being laid against the 26-year-old Estevan man. He was lodged in cells pending appearance in court to speak to the matters.
No further information was immediately available.
The same day members responded to a call coming from the 500 block of Second Street where a domestic argument occurred. It was dealt with, and a 21-year-old man was arrested for breaching his conditions. The man was lodged in EPS cells pending his release.
Police attended to a call for service in which a 64-year-old woman was experiencing mental health concerns. Members spoke with the woman at length and a plan was put in place for her to speak with a mental health professional the following day.
Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Seventh Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, the members spoke with the individuals on scene and determined that a 38-year-old woman was assaulted by an unknown woman who then fled the scene on a bicycle. The matter is still under investigation.
