Four southeast residents accused in thefts appear in court

The accused are facing a total of 31 charges.

ESTEVAN - Four of the five people arrested and charged last week in connection with thefts in the Alida area made appearances in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday.

The Saskatchewan RCMP announced on Monday that the five people were facing a total of 31 charges, stemming from an ongoing investigation into multiple residential break and enters that occurred in the Alida area in the spring.

A woman and a male youth were arrested in Alida on July 24, and three others - two men and a woman - were arrested on July 25 in Estevan. The four adults live in Alida, while the place of residence for the youth was not released. 

Jody Bonnor, a 58-year-old man; Ashley Myers, a 23-year-old woman; Dusty Bonnor, age 21; and the male youth were in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday. They were released from custody with upcoming court dates on Aug. 19.

The other accused, 46-year-old woman Sherry Bonnor, did not have an appearance scheduled for July 29, and does not have another appearance scheduled at this time. 

None of their charges have been proven in court.
