Lloyd Edwin Johnston was born to Arthur E. and Mary (Waddington) Johnston on a farm east of North Portal, Saskatchewan on March 28, 1923. He grew up, attended school in Estevan and at the age of 12 saved a boy from a drowning in the Souris River.

Jennie passed away at Hill View Manor in Estevan, SK on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the age of 91 years.

Willie was born on April 30, 1933 in Marjanowka, Poland. He was the second youngest son of Heinrich and Lydia Hanelt. Willie’s father and two brothers, Ernest and Gustav died during the Second World War.
