Big 6 Hockey underway

The Big 6 Hockey League is well underway having begun at the beginning of November. The competitive senior men鈥檚 league has been a staple in the southeast since the 1959/60 season when in December of 鈥59 the Soo Line Hockey League needed new life.

Hilarity ensued when six community actors took to the stage in Stoughton to present 鈥淥peration Redneck.鈥 A fundraiser for the community swimming pool the play was hosted four nights, Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 20 and 21, and Nov. 27 and 28.

RBC grants $10,000 to Carlyle Swim Program

The Carlyle RBC Royal Bank branch celebrated RBC Sports Day in Canada on Saturday, Nov. 21 by providing a $10,000 Learn to Play Grant to the Carlyle and District Leisure Centre for their swimming program.
