Shortly before 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 while patrolling the hockey arena in Carlyle during the hockey game, Carlyle RCMP were advised that a young child had been taken from the arena by an adult male. The child's guardian recognized the male.

Carlyle Town Council held their regular bi-weekly meeting Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the Carlyle Civic Centre with Deputy Mayor John Brownlee presiding. Council's next regular meeting will take place 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the Civic Centre.
