Sometimes finding an umpire is harder than you think. Luckily in Carlyle, that is not the case. More than five years ago, Bill Wyatt took on the role of organizing Carlyle umpires for minor ball. The level four umpire started umpiring 15 years ago.

The results are in. Candidate Ed Komarnicki of the Conservative party took the majority of the votes in the Souris-Moose Mountain riding, obtaining 21,598 votes or 74 per cent of the vote.

An enjoyable visit to the local detachment at Carlyle, once again revealed that there's no such thing as routine police work.

Club volleyball is alive and well in Carlyle! The Carlyle Fusions Volleyball Club recently wound up a very successful season.
