Many years ago, I met a fellow in Inverness, Scotland. I was a young church minister in my twenties, and he was in his mid fifties and a recovering alcoholic. He started coming to our church and we formed a strong friendship over the years.

I heard at work today that some people think that flood victims are making out well because the government is going to buy them new flooring and furniture. It made me cry to think that people could be so cold and I wanted to share my flood story.

Recently I saw a mother and her teen daughter leaving a store. The mother looked sad and worried. The daughter, whose facial semblance was obvious, looked less worried and almost happy.

While constant rain and a wet racetrack may have resulted in a cancelled May Moto-X event, the warm weather has dried up the track and organizers are ready for the first of two races anticipated for Carlyle this year.
