Adam Swanson of Carlyle recently competed in the Saskatchewan Amateur Bodybuilding Association competition on Saturday, April 7, held in Regina at the Conexus Arts Centre. Swanson's hard work and dedication to the sport paid off.

I am sure many are aware we had two nice new hotels build in Carlyle as they are pretty hard to miss when driving along hwy 9&13 through Carlyle. They are great additions to the community and I as a business person of 20 years welcome both.

As pink day in Carlyle quickly approaches the talk around town is high. Some of these talks include the recent dramatics involving the movie Bully. The movie received an R rating originally in the U.S., and a PG rating in Canada.

The Term 3 Report Cards will be going out on Friday, April 20. Student Led 3-Way Conferences will be from 5-8 pm on Wed. April 25 and Thurs. April 26. There will be no school on Friday, April 27. The 2012 Pink Day has been set for Wednesday, May 2nd.

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 38 calls between the 6th and the 12th of April. Beginning the day for the 6th, members responded to a call of a single vehicle rollover near the community of Redvers.
