Between the 23rd and 29th of Nov., the RCMP detachment in Carlyle received at total of 35 calls. Cases involving mental health issues, child welfare or other undisclosed matters will not be reported. Nov.

When it comes to Saskatchewan's new labour laws, a lot of people ask: Why should I care about it? I'm not in a union. In fact, the majority of working people in this province aren't unionized, although you might be surprised how many are.

Raising wild boar

I grew up on a pig farm. I carried a lot of chop, ground grain, by the five-gallon pail full to feed them. And I shoveled a fair large pile of what the pigs made out of the chop.

Successful weekend for Initiation hockey

Another great weekend for the Initiation team we had all home games and all wins. The little guys were so excited. They are starting to come together and play like a team. Our first game of the weekend was against Redvers. The final score was 21-3.

The Lampman School Drama has produced an absolutely hysterical piece titled, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. It was held on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24, but if anyone missed it last weekend they are able to take it in on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

Dickens Village Festival is fast approaching. It will be held on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Decorations all around town have begun to be put up and judging for decorations will be held on Nov. 28 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Each year Michele Amy and Will Elliott host the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party, a music camp open to all ages during the summer. World class musicians teach fiddle, guitar, mandolin, piano, banjo, and this past year even included the cello.
