SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - Five teams from the Big Six Hockey League have entered Hockey Saskatchewan's senior provincials this year.
The Carnduff Red Devils have already started their provincial push. They lost 5-2 at home to Canora on Jan. 31. Trey Stocker and Tanner Reynolds scored for Carnduff. Cody Dumaine was in goal.
Game 2 is Feb. 8 in Canora and Game 3 would be the following day, also in Canora.
Also in senior C, the Oxbow Huskies will face Assiniboia. The series is slated to start Feb. 15 in Assiniboia. Oxbow hosts Game 2 on Feb. 22 and Game 3, if necessary, the following day.
The Carlyle Cougars are playing Raymore in a senior A series. Game 1 will be Feb. 9 in Carlyle at 2:30 p.m. Game 2 is Feb. 14 in Raymore, and Game 3, if necessary, would be two nights later, also in Raymore.
The A level has become the highest competition for senior hockey in Saskatchewan.
The Moosomin Rangers are the lone team from the Big Six in Senior B. They will open provincials on Feb. 28 in Langenburg. Game 2 is March 7 in Moosomin and Game 3 would be March 9 in Langenburg.
In senior D, the Redvers Rockets will play Milestone. Game 1 is Feb. 21 in Redvers. Game 2 is Feb. 28 in Milestone and Game 3 would be March 2 in Redvers.
