Assiniboians awoke to a wintry morning as September drew to a close on Sunday, September 29 with blowing snow and the risk of freezing rain later in the afternoon.

Participants from all over Saskatchewan will arrive in Assiniboia on October 19 for the third Ethnic Jubilee to be convened at the Prince of Wales Cultural and Recreation Centre.

The 17 th Annual Career Fair in Assiniboia was busy on the Tuesday morning of September 24, with many local high school students visiting the stalls of exhibitors arranged in the curling rink at the Prince of Wales Cultural and Recreation Centre.

There was a small crowd in attendance at the People’s Party of Canada event on September 23 in Assiniboia at Club 55 because of the harvest season, but the mood was generally upbeat.
