The past came alive on the Glen and Suzanne Stomp farm at Griffin on Sunday afternoon, as they opened their mini-heritage village and held an old-time threshing bee. They had many displays of historical items in the village, including blacksmithing and rope-making demos, and in the field adjacent, a horse-drawn hay rack picked up stooks of wheat sheaves, and had them put through an old threshing machine powered by a belt to an antique tractor.
