Construction of an addition to the Unity Separate School was underway. The addition would house a gymnasium, one classroom and a school library.

The film Germans from Russia on the Canadian Prairies was to be shown in Macklin, Tramping Lake, Wilkie and Unity.
Making the cut out of some 80 young hockey players who tried out for Zone 7 were bantams Scott Hennings, Scott Brownlee and Adam Tuffs, Unity; Russ Nielsen, Wilkie; and Karsten McCrea, Baldwinton. Zone 7 won the Sask First bantam championships, hosted in Regina.
Kelsey Massier was appointed pest control officer for the town of Wilkie.
Winning two big prizes, a new Polaris 550 SuperSport snowmobile and a new Polaris 90 Sportsman quad, in the Kinsemen Snowmobile Rally were Dale Reiter and Tony Fisher.
