SWHL announces 2022 season award finalists

Senior men's hockey award finalists were announced for the SWHL

UNITY - The Sask. West Hockey League announced their finalists for season's award winners in a variety of categories, with winners set to be announced Feb. 2.

The Wilkie Outlaws lead the nominations with seven nods, in addition to three players on all star forward list and two players on all star defense list. Long-time team volunteer, Bill Sittler and Joe Cey, part of the SWHL executive, are also in the running for the Harvey Sommerville Memorial award.  

The Macklin Mohawks have four nominations including coach of the year nomination for Al Neufeld. Macklin also has players on all star team defense and all star goalie lists. 

Dalyn McCubbing of the Unity Miners is up for rookie of the year. Brian Woytiuk is up for the Harvey Sommerville Memorial award as a long-time volunteer with the Miners hockey club.

Kerrobert Tigers were shut out of nominations.
