At some point in their lives, every baseball player has dreamt of hitting a walk-off home run in a championship game. A Battlefords Bantam Crackmaster Beaver had the opportunity to do that and made the most of it.

The Lloydminster Meridian Twins remain perfect in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League after winning 18-0 in Edam. The Twins were up early and showed no mercy as they dropped Edam to 2-8 on the season. The Twins are 12-0.

The North Battleford Beavers sit just two games over .500 after losing their fourth game in the last five meetings.

Baseball and farming was the way of life for many in Saskatchewan in the 1960s and one of the best at balancing the farm and ball diamond was Robert McLane. McLane was born and raised in Liberty, and farmed in the district all his life.

It's been a tough season so far, but one local baseball team is hoping things get better. The Humboldt Dodgers AAA Midget baseball team hasn't had much luck getting games in this season with the continual rain.
