There are two new deaths reported in Sunday’s COVID-19 report, both in the North West zone. One is in the 50 to 59 age group and the other in the 80+ age group.
There are 249 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on April 25, bringing the provincial total to 39,932 cases. Of those, 12 are in the North West.
In the North West, active cases total 195, down 14 from Saturday. There was an increase in recoveries of 25, bringing total recoveries to 3,491.
Subzone 1 has 21 active cases, with two new cases.
Subzone 2 has 106 active cases, with six new cases.
Subzone 3 has 40 active cases, with four new cases.
Subzone 4, which comprises the Battlefords, has 28 active cases, with no new cases.
A week ago, active cases in the North West numbered 223. That number spiked to 227 on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday were, Friday dropped further to 205, and Saturday was 209.
The North West’s all time high way Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 559.
The zone was a similar numbers to Sundays last in February and before that in November of 2020.
