LA RONGE – A trial has been set for two people facing drug trafficking and weapons charges.
Floyd Ratt, 33, and Mary Johnson, 28, had appearances in La Ronge Provincial Court Dec. 13.
The two were arrested in August after La Ronge RCMP and La Ronge General Investigation Section raided a camper and a trap line south of La Ronge off Molanosa Road. Police seized three firearms and ammunition, 30 grams of cocaine and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Ratt was charged with 22 firearms related offences, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property less than $5,000 obtained by crime, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.
Johnson was charged with 12 weapons related offences, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property under $5,000 obtained by crime, and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The charges against Ratt and Johnson haven’t been proven in court.
Ratt remains in custody and Johnson was granted bail.
A trial for the two co-accused is scheduled for March 18, 2022, in La Ronge Provincial Court.
