Pedestrian killed in collision near Pelican Lake FN

The family of the deceased has been notified.

PELICAN LAKE FIRST NATION — A 24-year-old male from Pelican Lake First Nation has been identified as the deceased in a pedestrian-vehicle collision.

On July 25, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Spiritwood RCMP received a report of a pedestrian-vehicle collision on Highway 24, approximately four kilometres north of Pelican Lake First Nation.

The pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 24-year-old male from Pelican Lake First Nation and his family has been notified.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Highway 24 was closed during initial investigation but has since re-opened. Investigation continues with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
