LLOYDMINSTER — The Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association has announced it will be postponing Showcase 2022, scheduled for March 25 – 27, for the third year.
The LAEA board of directors and staff are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely, says board member Greg Buchanan.
“As an active community non-profit organization, our patrons, volunteers, and staff are top of mind during this time.”
After extensive review, he says, it has been determined that it is not possible to hold the planned event.
“The tradeshow climate is changing and is proving to be a harder road to recovery than other industries. Many vendors are without supplies and inventory, many vendors have gone out of business during the pandemic, and many are just not wanting to take the risk of show cancellations,” says Buchanan. “We want to assure the community that the committee is working hard to bring Showcase back in 2023 better than ever.”
