On April 23, officials from the Saskatchewan Health Authority informed Light of Christ Catholic Schools of a positive COVID-19听case in an individual at John Paul II Collegiate High School in North Battleford
鈥淭his case reminds us that we all have a shared responsibility to decrease the risk of COVID-19 entering schools. Plans for a safe return to school contain many important measures, processes, and protocols. Students and families are reminded to be diligent in performing the daily health screening, stay home if you are ill, call HealthLine 811 if you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, practice proper hand hygiene, maintain physical distancing as much as possible, wear a mask when appropriate, and do all we can to keep each other safe,鈥 states a release issued by Light of Christ division.
In addition, in the Living Sky School Division, three individuals have been diagnosed with COVID-19 recently: in Macklin School (April 16), Hafford Central School (April 20) and Unity Public School (April 22).
Living Sky says in a release any individuals who were in close contact have been notified with directions. Following the division鈥檚 health and safety protocols, the schools are receiving a deep cleaning/sanitizing and will remain open.
The division reminds everyone entering schools to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
