A green Honda Pilot was stolen from a detached garage on Lanigan鈥檚 Poplar Place between the late evening of Nov. 26 and the morning of Nov. 27.

The Nipawin Hawks announced Dec. 4聽that it had parted ways with Doug Johnson, who was head coach and general manager.

Last year, Colleen Cornelius, the manager at A&W, made Christmas dinner for eight people who were going to spend the holiday alone. This year, with help from Michael Behiel and other local organizations, the dinner is being expanded so everybody can have companionship and a decent meal.

The聽Carrot River RCMP responded to a report of an altercation at a聽Red Earth Cree Nation home at around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 30.聽One adult male died at the scene.

Melfort Fire and Rescue said it recommends residents keep it slow during the winter months.
