VISCOUNT — Hello and welcome to the month of August! This is it the month of school supplies, canning and winding down on summer activities.
Today as I am writing the news for the paper is July 26th and the forecast was for 10 per cent rain, then next thing you know as I am doing some yard work, it rains. But it was a beautiful soft rain for a few hours much needed for the gardens, grass etc.... Then the sun came out. Not sure how the rest of the day will turnout but the morning was nice.
The Viscount Recreation Board hosted their 21st annual Golf Tournament on July 17 at the Lanigan Golf and Country Club. They had 30 participants register and they had a successful turnout. The Board raised $1,200 to go towards the Viscount Community Center expenses. All the help that was given to make this event a success was greatly appreciated.
I am looking forward to this fall's Community garage sales, hopefully the weather doesn't start changing and bringing a earlier than expected fall.
