BJORKDALE — The Little Valley Playschool trade fair was held on Sunday, Nov. 19 with just over 20 vendors.

The Little Valley Playschool raised approximately $2,200 from this event. The Playschool board would like to acknowledge the vendors who continue to support our community trade fair. There were many people who came and shopped, and also supported Bjorkdale Minor Hockey who was organizing the food booth that day. The 50/50 was $285 and was won by Joanne Desrosiers.

The Bjorkdale Community Christmas Party is set for Friday, Dec. 1. Tickets can be picked up at PJ’s One Stop or the Bjorkdale Co-op. There will be a beef supper and desserts along with a silent auction and door prizes. Everyone welcome. Anyone interested in donating a silent auction item can contact any of the board members from the Bjorkdale Curling Club.

Bjorkdale Minor Hockey will have an under 11 team this year in Bjorkdale and a combined under 13 with Porcupine Plain Blues. Bjorkdale will host 8 under 11 games in town at the skating rink and 2 under 13 games with the combined team. The Bjorkdale Bruins had their first practice in Porcupine Plain on Saturday and their first game is in Porcupine Plain on Dec. 2
