TWARZYNSKI: Dorothy Elizabeth

August 3, 1938 – April 19, 2017

Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Aden) Twarzynski of Lanigan, SK, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. She was 78 years of age. Dorothy, the youngest of four children, was born to Frank and Regina (nee Beck) Aden on August 3, 1938, at Yorkton, SK. Dorothy attended high school in Rosetown, SK, at The Covenant until Grade 10.Β  She returned to Tisdale to work as a receptionist in the hospital. In 1957, Dorothy met Bernard Twarzynski and on February 15, 1958, they were married. That spring, she and Bernard started building their homestead and planting lots of trees. Dorothy made sure they had lots of space for gardening, which she continued to do. Their first child, Michael was born in 1959, followed by Cathy, Deb and Cindy. Dorothy’s greatest passion in life was her family, the love of plants (she had an amazing β€œgreen thumb”), and playing cards and board games with her grandchildren. As well, she enjoyed watching movies that were full of action or comedy, and doing puzzles with her family and friends. Dorothy especially loved reading and thoroughly enjoyed getting the latest novel of her favorite authors. When family were coming to visit, she was only too happy to fulfill their request of their favourite foods. Dorothy was an excellent cook. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her four children, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren: MICHAEL (Marie) Twarzynski of Lanigan, SK, and family, Shaun Twarzysnki (Dakota) [Kolton and Tanner], Terralyn Korpan [Mason and Alexis], and Meaghan (Brayden) Rommelaere; CATHY Brown of Saskatoon, SK, and family, Danielle (Ratu) Gordon [Oscar], and Jaclyn Brown; DEBBIE (Jim) Mason of Russell, MB, and family, James (Jessica) Mason [Cooper, Maisy, Tucker and Vaida], Jessica Mason (Adam), and Michelle Mason (Ryan) [Gemma]; and CINDY (Terry) Pilling of Regina, SK, and son Stevie Pilling; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Twarzynski (September 1, 2009); parents, Frank and Regina (nee Beck) Aden; one brother, Conrad Aden; and by two sisters:Β  Mary Gray and Frances Shimei. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Lanigan, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Paul Paproski, OSB. Others taking part were:Β  Don Bilious, crossbearer; Irafe Jamlan, altar server; Laura Novecosky and Doreen Possberg, scripture readers; Marilyn Miller, intentions; Mike and Marie Twarzynski, giftbearers; Meaghan Rommelaere and Terralyn Korpan, memorial donation table attendants.
