With a pair of wins this past weekend on the road, the Yorkton Xerox Terriers of the SBAAHL have wrapped up the regular season portion of the 2015/16 SBAAHL campaign with a near-perfect 25-1-4 record.

After a Division win last Tuesday, the Terriers dropped a pair of shut out losses, but remain in third spot of the Viterra Division with a record of 17-27-1-3 for 38 points.

A pair of shootout losses this past weekend to the bottom dwelling Swift Current Legionnaires have put a bit of a dent in the Yorkton RawTec Maulers’ hopes for a top four finish and home ice advantage through the first round of the SMAAAHL playoffs.

Local novice and bantam-aged players from Yorkton and area were joined on the ice by a former NHL player this past Saturday, as Yorkton was one of three locations chosen to take part in the Hockey Day in Canada festivities, joining main host Kamloops

In what could only be described as a must-win game, the Yorkton Kinsmen Terriers of the SSMHL Midget Division did exactly what they needed to do, picking up a much needed 3-1 victory over the Regina Capitals in Theodore last Thursday.

The Yorkton Terriers are hosting their Annual Sportsmen’s Dinner Saturday, Feb. 13. Terrier president Dave Baron said it’s a big weekend for the Terriers, and their Highway #10 rival Melville Millionaires.

Mired in a four game losing streak, the Yorkton RawTec Maulers were hoping that a weekend double dip with the in flux Prince Albert Mintos would be enough to get them back on the winning track.

The Yorkton Terriers picked up two big wins on the week and hold on to the final playoff spot in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. The key win was Saturday on home ice over Humboldt who are also in the hunt for the final playoff spot.

A former Yorkton Terrier has been making some big waves in his first full American Hockey League (AHL) season so far.

The Yorkton Kinsmen Terriers of the SSMHL Midget Division picked up three important points this past weekend in the form of a 1-1 tie with the Prairie Storm on Saturday and a 6-2 win over the third place Notre Dame Hounds on Sunday.
