Second-degree murder charge laid after altercation in La Loche

On Feb. 16, a 42-year-old female succumbed to her injuries in hospital after an altercation.

LA LOCHE — A La Loche woman has been charged with second-degree murder.

RCMP say 58-year-old Glenda Piche of La Loche has been charged with one count of second-degree murder. She was remanded into custody and will appear in court in La Loche on Feb. 20.

On Feb. 15 at approximately 4:45 p.m., La Loche RCMP were advised by EMS of an altercation at a residence that resulted in the hospitalization of a 42-year-old female.

On Feb. 16, the 42-year-old female succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Saskatoon. Her next of kin have been notified and victim services offered to the family.

Saskatchewan Major Crimes is nvestigating.
