SASKATOON – Saskatoon Police Service is renewing their request for public help in the historical homicide of 19-year-old Tanya Alcrow.
On April 13, 2020, at about 3:40 a.m., police received a report of an injured woman near the intersection of Avenue T and 21st Street. Alcrow was taken to hospital, where she died.
The police investigation determined that a dark-coloured truck was identified in surveillance footage as being involved. The truck was parked on Avenue T facing north at the time of the homicide.
Witnesses reported that Alcrow approached the truck, and she was shot. The truck stayed parked for almost one minute after the shooting and then travelled north toward 22nd Street.
The investigation into this historical homicide remains open. No suspects have been arrested, but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case.
