Saskatoon police identify homicide victim as Melissa Duquette

Her body was found in the basement of a home in the 3200 Block of 33rd Street West in Saskatoon.

SASKATOON – Saskatoon Police Service has identified Monday’s murder victim as 24-year-old Melissa Duquette. She is the city’s 7th homicide in 2024.

At about 11:20 a.m. on April 15, 2024 police were called to the 3200 Block of 33rd Street West for reports of an insecure property. They found Douquette deceased in the basement.

SPS Major Crime Section is investigating her death.

About 12 hours after Duquette’s body was found, a man was shot to death near 20th Street in Saskatoon.
