Police continue investigation into Melissa Duquette’s murder

Melissa Duquette’s body was found in the basement of a Saskatoon home on Monday morning.

SASKATOON – On Tuesday afternoon, Saskatoon Police Service officers were still at the home on 33rd Street where 24-year-old Melissa Duquette’s body was found in the basement Monday morning.

At about 11:20 a.m. on April 15, police were called to the 3200 Block of 33rd Street West for reports of an insecure property. They found Duquette deceased in the basement. She is the city’s seventh homicide of 2024.

SPS Major Crime Section is investigating her death.
