PRINCE ALBERT – A 68-year-old Prince Albert man was arrested Wednesday and charged with numerous child porn offences.
On June 14, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Prince Albert Police Child Protection Unit executed a search warrant at a home Prince Albert. Several electronic devices were seized and police say the investigation is continuing.
Brian Campeau has been charged with making child pornography, making available child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography, sexual interference, sexual assault, and committing an indecent act.
Campeau made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court Thursday and is back in court Friday for a show cause hearing.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
The charges against Campeau haven’t been tested in court.
