Local dance club busy

April was a very busy month for the Calder Yalenka Dance Club. The club went to a few competitions and in between we had our Spring Concert. The Community Hall was full of families, friends and community members and surrounding area.

The season openers for the Yorkton Cardinals had been scheduled for this past Sunday but were cancelled and re-scheduled for last night at Jubilee Park. Results of the games were not available in time for press.

Council rejects YBID change

Yorkton Council has rejected a bylaw which would have seen the levy assessed businesses in the Yorkton Business Improvement District changed. The YBID had appeared before Council April 26, requesting a change.
