The Yorkton Cardinals had won four straight road games in the Western Major Baseball League before hosting Melville Monday at Jubilee Park. The Millionaires would end the streak with a 6-1 win, leaving Yorkton with a 10-12 record on the season.

This morning, simply to celebrate the sun, I hung our wash outside to dry. Strung each piece against tree and sky. Threaded them like odd-shaped beads on a high wire. Shirts and towels immediately began flirting with the breeze.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East Senior Baseball League action made one of its few appearances at Yorkton's Jubilee Park going into the Canada Day holiday and Yorkton was able to take two of a possible two wins against their Canora Supers opponents.

Reserve tobacco limit in effect

The new lower limits on tax-free tobacco sold on reserve took effect on July 1, 2010.
