The Sturgis Kinsmen Club’s annual duck derby was another huge success with all 747 plastic ducks sold. The derby was held at the Sturgis Regional Park on June 5 with numerous families enjoying the afternoon of fun and friendship.

The Preeceville Grade 4 students took up the challenge to create fish art that was submitted to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation fish art work contest. The contest ran from April 1 to May 31 and was open to Saskatchewan students in grades 4-6.

The Preeceville School students and staff took the opportunity of the walk-and -roll incentive to walk or ride a bicycle to school on June 1. The group gathered at the Preeceville Wildlife Campground and walked back to the school as a group.

Ken Stearns wasted no time in double-checking his April 22 lottery ticket after he realized that the EXTRA numbers drawn were a direct match to his numbers. The Preeceville resident won $250,000.
