‘Tis the season of giving… and, for this political columnist, a little atonement for all the nasty things we’ve written. What better excuse than Christmas to give our Saskatchewan politicians overdue credit for what might have been overlooked.

When I was growing up, Christmas was always an exciting time as I eagerly awaited that moment when we got to open our presents.

The Preeceville Nursery School sponsored a shopping spree raffle with Marc Kovacs winning the main prize on December 15. "The raffle winner had the option to pick the 90-minute shopping spree or a $250 cash prize," said Lori Newton, teacher.

The Preeceville School elementary students performed for family members and friends in the annual traditional Christmas concert on December 19. Emma Covlin and Brady Kashuba were the emcees.

The Preeceville midget hockey team played a home game against Esterhazy/ Churchbridge on December 10. The Pats fought hard but fell short with a loss of 5-3. Scoring for Preeceville were Sean Paligan (two goals) and Zac McGrisken.
