Members of the Kelsey Ecological Society spent a pleasant September 21 fall afternoon walking local nature trails followed by a wiener roast. The Kelsey Ecological group is always accepting new members, encouraged a statement from the group.

The Preeceville School library received new furniture on September 24, made possible through the Crossroads Community Investment Fund contest. "The first phase was completed with the addition of new furniture.

Members of Preeceville and Sturgis Student Representative Councils, accompanied by their advisors, travelled to Watrous for the annual Saskatchewan Student Leadership Conference on September 18 to September 20.

The Town of Preeceville council met for a regular council meeting September 11 and discussed many issues. The minutes from the August regular council meeting were approved to be released to the public, according to Lorelei Karcha, adminstrator.

Trae Peterson of Sturgis, is only 10 years old but his passion for the sport of hockey has led to many great things for the youth.

Hockey players of all ages will be benefit from the Adam Herold Legacy hockey and leadership development camp. The Preeceville Minor Hockey Association will host the hockey school from November 30 to December 1 and January 4 and 5.

Theft of utility trailer The Canora/Sturgis RCMP are investigating a complaint of a stolen 4 x 8 ft. tilt utility trailer. The trailer was stolen on September 9 from Third Street NW in Preeceville. The trailer is blue in colour with VIN #042624890.
