OUTLOOK - Try as they did, the Outlook Ice Hawks just couldn't match up to the onslaught that the Davidson Cyclones brought with them to the local ice.

Outlook played host at the Jim Kook Rec Plex on Saturday night, January 4 as the visitors came to town, and from the get-go, it was apparent that the Cyclones were bringing just that with them, as a flurry of goals were shot straight through to the net and Davidson was only getting warmed up.

In the first period, the Ice Hawks were actually the first to get on the scoreboard with a goal by #85 Ryan Husband on a power play just over a minute into the game at 18:38, but after that, it was all Davidson. #27 Tory Allan shot one in for his team, followed up by two goals by #88 Prescot Senger. In the last 90 seconds of gameplay in the period, Davidson #21 Ian Parker sunk one in for the visiting squad, giving Outlook a big hill to climb heading into the second.

After #13 Luke Nukwama sunk one in for the Cyclones at 14:18, Outlook came back with a goal by #7 Will Campbell at 12:10, but the momentum was short-lived as Davidson #88 Senger sunk his third goal of the night, followed by #27 Allan. At the halfway point, Cyclones #23 Derek Allan sunk one in, to which Ice Hawks #9 Billy Trarback answered back with a goal for his team, but Allan responded with another one in the last few minutes of gameplay.

The third period would see Cyclones #8 Mark Walchuk sink one in just two minutes in, while Ice Hawks #90 Steven Lee came back with the hometown team's last goal of the game at 15:41. From there, it was all Davidson, as #23 Allan scored at 14:57, followed up with #13 Nukwama going on to score three more goals over the duration of the game. Cyclones #27 Allan would score another one, and #19 Isaac Jackson would score one for his team as well.

Final score of the game was a dominant 16-4 win for Davidson.

Outlook is back on the road this Friday night in Delisle to take on the Bruins, and then the Ice Hawks are back at home on Sunday to host the Kyle Elks.
