SASKATOON – A 27-year-old man charged in the death of Megan Gallagher made his first appearance in Saskatoon court Monday.
Robert James Thomas [known as Bobby Thomas] was arrested in Prince George, British Columbia, on Sept. 20 and brought back to Saskatoon to face a first-degree murder charge. Thomas was remanded in custody and is back in court Oct. 6.
Six days after Thomas' arrest, SPS arrested 29-year-old Cheyann Crystal Peeteetuce at a correctional facility in Prince Albert where she was serving a sentence on an unrelated matter. She was charged with first-degree murder and brought back to Saskatoon to make her first appearance in court Tuesday.
Four others, including Jessica Sutherland, John Wayne Sanderson, Roderick William Sutherland, and Ernest Vernon Whitehead, have been charged with indignity to human remains.
Gallagher went missing in Saskatoon in September 2020. Four months later, Saskatoon Police said they were treating her disappearance as a homicide.
