SASKATOON — Saskatoon Police Service says its Major Crime Section has arrested and charged Robert "Bobby" James Thomas, 27, with the first-degree murder of Megan Gallagher.
On Sept. 20, SPS investigators, with assistance from British Columbia RCMP (E Division), arrested the 27-year-old man at a residence in Prince George, B.C. Thomas is being transported back to Saskatoon where he will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Sept. 26.
This is the fifth arrest made by the SPS in connection to the homicide of Megan Gallagher. Further arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
Jessica Sutherland, John Wayne Sanderson, Roderick William Sutherland and Ernest Vernon Whitehead have all been charged as well. Their charges are under Section 182 (b) of the Criminal Code – Indignity to Human Remains.
Thirty-year-old Megan Gallagher went missing in Saskatoon in September of 2020. In January 2021, the Saskatoon Police Service announced it was treating her disappearance as a homicide.
