( see photo gallery below ) The Preeceville and District Heritage Museum brought back a taste of the past on June 24 with a 1950s fun night. The evening kicked off with volunteers dressing up in 1950s’ apparel.

The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation announced the three top winners in its fish art work competition with the top two winning entries coming from Preeceville School.

North Ridge opens It took eight months, days and days of volunteer labour, and a bit of good luck, but the ribbon was officially cut to open the North Ridge Disc Golf Course in Birtle, MB.

The Farmer’s Filthy 5, a special fundraising and racing event for people who love getting dirty, was held in and around Stenen on June 11.

The students and staff of the Canora Junior Elementary School (CJES) held a special fundraiser event to raise money for the construction of a new playground. The festivities began at 9:45 a.m.

The Keen Age Centre in Canora put on a variety of interesting events for over 50 members at its social and barbeque, which was held June 12, not the least of which was a performance by two Canora gospel singers, Art and Sylvia Stadel.
