Canora students had an opportunity to do their own shopping and purchase gifts for loved ones through a gift exchange. The Recycled Christmas Exchange was held December 8 and 9 at the Canora Junior Elementary School.

The Canora branch of the Crossroads Credit Union continues assisting with community projects by making a donation to the Buchanan Skating Rink.

The Canora Composite School junior girls basketball team was quick to prove itself with huge victories in its first and second games of the season.

Children with special needs and between the ages of five and 11 years from Canora, Kamsack, Davison, Melville and Yorkton attended a Christmas party hosted by the Yorkton SaskTel Pioneers on December 13.

Positive comments were made by many visitors who attended the Santa鈥檚 Cause Christmas Market on December 10. Approximately 200 people came to the event held at the Canora Rainbow Hall, according to Candace Doogan, the event organizer.

Winners in the Canora Winter Lights Christmas Contest were rewarded for adding a bit of festive cheer to the town.
