Shannon Leson, Good Spirit School Division board member, wished the Canora Composite School graduates a future filled with success.

CANORA - “Canora Composite School, home of the Cougars, embodies the qualities of strength, persistence, and courage,” said Shannon Leson, GSSD board member, as he addressed the Class of 2024, and added, “These are traits that each of you has demonstrated throughout your high school journey.

“On behalf of the Good Spirit School Division Board of Education, it is my great honour to congratulate the Canora Composite School Graduating Class of 2024. Today, we gather to celebrate your incredible achievement and the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

“Just as cougars move swiftly and gracefully through their environment, you have tackled obstacles with confidence and emerged stronger,” continued Leson. “Your journey to this point has not been without its trials, but your determination and spirit have seen you through.

“Our motto, ‘Students Come First,’ has guided our mission to build strong foundations to create bright futures. Our vision, ‘Learning Without Limits, Achievement for All,’ is vividly illustrated in your accomplishments. You, the graduates of CCS, have shown us what it means to learn without limits and achieve with commitment. Your success today is a testament to your hard work and the support of your family, school staff, and community.

“As you cross the stage to receive your Grade 12 diploma, take a moment to look at the faces of those who have supported you along the way. See the pride and joy in the eyes of your loved ones, teachers, and community members who have watched you grow and flourish. Your achievements are not only a reflection of your own efforts but also of the collective support and belief in your potential.

“In the words of Dr. Seuss, ‘You're off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so... get on your way!’

“Embrace the future with the same strength, persistence, and courage that have brought you to this moment. Congratulations, Class of 2024. The world awaits your greatness,” concluded Leson.
