MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM -- The Moose Jaw WINMAR Warriors just couldn’t find a way to deal with Maddox Schultz and the Regina Pat Canadians power play on Tuesday night in Sask Male AAA Hockey League preseason action.

The rookie forward scored four times -- once in the first, twice in the second and again in the third -- with three of those goals coming on the man advantage as the Pat Cs took a 7-4 victory in Regina.

Logan Mehl also scored in the first for Regina and then added a shorthanded marker early in the second as they built a 3-0 lead.

The Warriors put together a rally as the period progressed, with Brennan Brown scoring a pair of markers before Kierin Osberg tied the game with 5:09 to play in the second.

Schultz then scored power play goals 1:06 apart late in the period to restore Regina’s lead, and Nathan Gardiner made it a three-goal game with 16 seconds left.

Schultz’s final goal came with 3:55 to play in the third period.

Mehl also picked up a pair of assists to finish with four points.

Luke McKechnie started in goal for Moose Jaw and stopped 14 shots over 31:17, Kaleb Page had 13 saves the rest of the way.

Adam Muntain went the distance in net for Regina, stopping 23 shots.

Moose Jaw is now 1-1-1-0 in the preseason and are back in action on Friday when the Swift Current Legionnaires are at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

The win sees Regina wrap up their exhibition schedule with a 1-0-1 record, with their regular season opener set for the Sept. 28 weekend when they’re in Battlefords for a pair of contests.
