Teen suspect alleged to have made online threat against school

On Jan. 15 at approximately 10:35 p.m., police were dispatched to a home in the area of Murphy Crescent for the report of an online threat made against a school in the 1100 block of McIntosh Street.

REGINA - A youth is facing charges for allegations of uttering threats in Regina.

On Jan. 15 at approximately 10:35 p.m., police were dispatched to a home in the area of Murphy Crescent for the report of an online threat made against a school in the 1100 block of McIntosh Street.

In collaboration with INTERPOL-Ottawa, officers were able to determine the location of the threat, and arrest the youth without incident.

Police believe the situation is resolved and there is no further danger to the schools staff, students, families, or the public.

As a result of this investigation, a 16-year-old female youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with uttering threats.

She will make her first appearance on this charge on Feb. 25 at 9:30 a.m. in Youth Provincial Court.
