REGINA - Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating a suspicious death.
On the evening of Jan. 4, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes located and arrested an adult male in relation to the death of 30-year-old Melanie Asham-Obey from Pasqua First Nation.
The adult male was arrested in Regina with the assistance of Regina Police Service.
As a result of continued investigation, 40-year-old Robin Kaiswatum was charged with one count, second degree murder.
Kaiswatum appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Jan. 6.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continue to investigate.
